Raising A Generation Empowerment Self Defense Natives

Recently, I was called a “Digital Tourist.” While I understood where the person using that term was coming from, it ticked me off. 

First, I am not a tourist. If anything I am a digital immigrant. So while “digital” is not my first language, it is where I live. Yet, I will not disagree that my grandkids are definitely natives. My two-year-old grandson knows how to end a FaceTime call with me without blinking. And I am pretty sure swiping and double-clicking are movements that he does “naturally.” 

What if we could find a way for our children to grow up being gender equality natives?

What if our goal was that they would be Empowerment Self Defense natives? What would that look like and how could we make sure it happens?
