The Freedom to Choose
At El Halev, we believe in choice.

And we believe that the greatest thing we can do for our students is to empower them to make choices and feel comfortable doing so.
That’s why our flagship course is called, “The Freedom to Choose.”
The course involves learning so many skills, both verbal and physical.
But one extremely important skill that we do everything we possibly can to make sure everyone walks away with is the ability to make choices about what feels right to them and what doesn’t.
Because without that ability, well… how much does a technically perfect palm strike really matter?
We give our students a lot of opportunities to practice choosing, and in more than one way, but the first that come to mind are role playing, the traffic light, by asking them for permission before we touch them, and by giving them the freedom to decide how and to what extent they participate in each activity or exercise.
Our hope is that when the course is over, our students will continue to make conscious choices and realize that they get to choose how they’ll step out into the world and live their lives.

I promise you, the MyPwr team is working hard to make sure that choice is a major component of the app.
Tell us about a time you made an empowered choice.
